Digital Teaching Essentials for Educators

In this one-week introductory course, educators will be introduced to the most essential tools and techniques required to teach effectively in a digital environment. With a special focus on free and accessible tools, this course aims to prepare teachers for the challenges and opportunities of online and blended learning.

The course includes guided lessons on using Google Workspace tools (Docs, Forms, Slides), recording lectures with mobile phones, creating digital learning material, uploading resources to Moodle (Gnomio), and evaluating students through MCQs and assignments.

Participants will also learn how to use Canva for making banners and infographics, as well as how to source high-quality educational videos from YouTube.

The content is beginner-friendly, designed especially for educators who are new to online teaching or looking to enhance their digital skills. All tools covered are free and can be accessed easily with a smartphone or basic laptop.
